Rokdojo Karate is founded by Andrew Tjuriah in 2012 as an independent (unaffiliated) karate school that teaches Goju ryu karate. Differed from many modern karate practices available nowadays in the U.S., the founder keeps the faithfulness to the inherited teaching of the late founder of Gojukai, Hanshi Gogen Yamaguchi to his direct sensei, Shihan Maskun Prasetya (8th Dan - Kyoshi).
Carrying out the vision in preserving the traditional Goju ryu Karate, the founder aims in enforcing the form and implementing the art through prestigious trainings and Rokdojo competitions in the future.
The first generation students of Rokdojo were private and semi private students from age 6 to 20s,
they trained in the garage, parking lot, front yards and parks.
